The unswerving commitment of Nigel Greening in conjunction with the winemaking skills of Blair Walter have
made Felton Road into one of New Zealand’s most celebrated and sought-after wineries. Located in Central
Otago, the most southerly wine growing region in the world, the vineyards are nestled into small
microclimates totally surrounded by high mountains. The climate has a number of characteristics particularly
suited to Pinot Noir. In addition to world-beating Pinots, Blair also crafts some stunning whites – a
remarkable Riesling and an elegant Chardonnay. All the wines have the hallmark of a truly individualistic
winemaker who watches over each wine with as little interference as possible during vinification. The winery
is on three levels to facilitate gravity flow. Racking, fining and filtering are avoided wherever possible. In
order to best preserve this personality, most of the wines are bottled with Stelvin screwcaps.
Cornish Point is an entirely separate vineyeard under the same ownership and control as Felton Road. It
offers outstanding quality for the price.
